Stages of trademark registration in Switzerland are not exceedingly different from the procedure in other developed countries of the world:
- An application shall be primarily filed, and it is not absolutely necessary to submit application for registration of an existing brand in Russia, but to submit trademark for registration in several countries of the world at once, based on the Madrid Protocol and the relevant agreement that is included in the legislation of Switzerland;
- The next stage is the first verification that is formal one which makes it possible to ascertain the completeness of the submitted package of documents, which will be collected with the help of the lawyers of our company;
- The second verification is aimed at identifying those issues that might prevent the completion of the registration procedure because of violation of the laws of Switzerland or other countries parties to the Madrid Protocol;
- After conducting two verifications and when satisfactory decision was taken, a certificate on registration of the trademark is issued; otherwise, it is possible to file a claim regarding disagreement with the decision having been taken in accordance with the established procedure, which may be relevant if the trademark registration were not approved for any reasons.
