Swiss banks start to open accounts in bitcoins

Falcon Private Bank has started opening accounts for its customers in bitcoins since July

The foregoing Swiss bank is the first traditional bank that provides its clients with services related to the management of assets in cryptocurrency.

Since the beginning of summer, certain banks have successfully implemented the integration regarding management of bitcoins in their platforms.

In May, online bank Skandiabanken (Norway) provided an opportunity for its customers to open accounts in bitcoins. Fidelity Investment already cooperates with Coinbase, which also underlines the possibility of managing digital assets.

Popular Zurich bank Falcon Group, which controls almost 15 billion CHF around the world and has offices in London, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Geneva announced that Falcon Private Bank was granted approval from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority. Currently, this bank will be the first banking institution in Switzerland to offer bitcoin.
